A man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things
This morning rant is to bring you some peace in your current situation. All my lief I've listen to the prosperity message and if you're not living a lavish life for Christ you fell as if God has abandon you and that you're not worthy enough to be wealthy or maybe you're out of the will of God. All lies.
Luke 12:15
And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
Psalms 37:16Better is the little of the righteous than the abundance of many who are wicked. 17For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.…
Proverbs 15:16Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure with turmoil.
1 Timothy 6:6,8Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
Proverbs 30:8,9Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. 9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the LORD?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
Matthew 6:11Give us this day our daily bread.
Philippians 4:10-13I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. 11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
