In this episode, we look at the weakness of the prosperity gospel. It can lead us to fall into temptation and become trapped. However the bible teaches a even more powerful truth that we must as Paul did when he stated "I have learned the secret of being content'. What is this secret that he learned and how can we descover what it is and use it in our lives today.
1 Timothy 6:6-11But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows
Hebrews 13:5Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Philippians 4:12-13I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
1 Timothy 6:6Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment,
Philippians 4:11Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.
1 Thessalonians 5:18Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
