As if there were any doubt. With the exception of a lone sports writer from San Diego, the BWAA confirmed on Wednesday what New York Mets fans have been saying all summer. Jacob deGrom this season was baseball's best pitcher. He wins the National League's 2018 Cy Young award in a landslide, claiming 29 of 30 first place votes. As such, he becomes the second Mets pitcher this decade, and the fourth pitcher in Mets history, to receive baseball's award for pitching excellence. A Metsian Podcast this evening invites you to join them for an amazin' celebration of Jacob's deGromination. Host Mike Lecolant will be joined by feature guest, author and proprietor of Faith and Fear in Flushing, Greg Prince. Schedule permitting, Gary McDonald of Mets Musings will join the show in progress ... from a Metsian Podcast's lips to Joan Whitney Payson's ears. The show starts at 9:00pm (EST), sharp! Of course, you're welcome to phone-in and join the discussion @ 646-787-1919
