Liz is the midwife, and owner/manager of Otero Birth. She is a happily married mother of 6 children, worked as a licensed vocational nurse in the hospital setting for 14 years prior to becoming a midwife, is a birth doula, a licensed midwife in the states of New Mexico and Texas, and a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM). She has been licensed for 10 years.

Liz has a calm manner and deep trust in birth that brings peace and comfort to her clients during pregnancy and childbirth. She has a listening ear and a gift for helping women and their partners deal with fears and any past negative childbirth experiences, to prepare them to receive their next labor and birth with trust, peace, and joy.  She is warm and approachable and helps people feel safe and at ease around her. She feels blessed to provide services and support surrounding pregnancy and childbirth in all settings.
