Why do we want to discuss a mind stayed on Jesus? One of the issues we are dealing with during these crazy times is that it doesn’t take much for our minds to get busy on the pandemic, the social justice issues, the “second wave,” the unemployment (for some it is a blessing in disguise with the unemployment checks), the rioting, the shootings, the untimely deaths, the loss of predictability… Everything has changed!

It’s as though we are on shifting sands. Everywhere we look, there is something that will keep our minds busy on seeing the same injustice again and again, on hearing the same news reports over and over. You know the drill… And there seems to be no place to run, no recourse… But, is there? As Christians, we are told to set the Lord always before us, to stay focused on the Lord. We hear, “if God be for me, who could be against me?” You know the songs, the bible verses… So the question for us Christians is, how do we keep our minds stayed on Jesus when everything around us has gone haywire?
