From times in youth ministry, to an unsanctioned security ministry, and even having to step down from certain roles, it has all led to this moment in time of being a pastor here in the Reno Sparks area. I'll take you through my journey in ministry, balancing the many different hats I wear, and the calling to being a pastor at First International Christian Fellowship. If you enjoy this episode, please like, leave a comment, and if you feel led, subscribe for more future episodes. Todays guest is someone whose career speaks loudly, but whose perspective speaks even louder. Shayla Gifford has spent over 20 years in the mortgage industry. She's originated more than 1.5 billion dollars in volume, helped over 6,000 families achieve home ownership, and earned recognition as a top 1% originator and top women originator. She's built and lead teams over 100 professionals, founded Catalyst Coaching, and created systems designed not just for scaled production, but to support people. She's also a wife and a mother of two daughters and someone who has lived outside the typical American grind, including a season living in Europe that reshaped how she thinks about time, success, and intention. This conversation is not just about mortgages, but about leadership, life design, and building something sustainable. Pastor Craig Dyson and I discuss the intersection between faith and politics after the tragic assassination of our brother, Charlie Kirk. Pastor Craig is the lead pastor at Convo Church here in Reno Nevada. He is not afraid to tackle the hard conversations connecting culture and politics to our Christian faith. He has also partnered together with Turning Point USA Faith to help people see the connection of politics and how our faith connects to it.
