Sometimes we read the Word of God and can clearly
see we need to make an adjustment.
● James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not
hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if
anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he
is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
24 for he observes himself, goes away, and
immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty
and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer
but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in
what he does.
● The Word is like a “mirror”
● 1 Thes 4:3 This is the will of God, that you abstain
from sexual immorality.
Sometimes we have an issue we would like to change or
get victory over and we look to the Word for help.
● Matt 7:24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings
of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise
man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the
rain descended, the floods came, and the winds
blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for
it was founded on the rock.
● We say something like this “I need a scripture to
stand on”
● Prov 3:24 When you lie down, you will not be
afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be
sweet.
Sometimes the Word of God will give you a “roadmap”
to navigate your life by.
● Psalm 119:105 (NKJV) Your word is a lamp to my
feet And a light to my path.
● Psalm 119:105 (Passion) “Truth’s shining light
guides me in my choices and decisions; the
revelation of your Word makes my pathway clear.”
● “Covid Chaos” - Acts 8, “More Range” - 2 Cor 10
● The Word is totally inexhaustible, totally valuable,
and totally life changing.
