A Missed Opportunity

Listen Later

Episode 47 – Fake Friends…or better yet A Missed Opportunity
Intro:
People Betrayed in the Bible
• Joseph – almost killed but then sold as a slave (thanks family)
• Job – Laughed at and mocked by friends during his most challenging trial.
• Jesus – Adam and Eve…mankind..(US)..maybe you guys heard this story before. I think its something to point out about these people with names start with the Letter J. I don’t know…are people with the first letter starting with J hated on more than the average person or are they such terrible people they’ve been at war since the beginning of them…I know a few J’s and id have to say I’m thinking more of the ladder.. but I digress.

The Haterz conversation: Cut off culture keeps people offended, hurt and with unresolved pain. Messages about how dope you are and why people don’t like you. This stuff creates this center of the universe mentality and blocks you from accepting correction or thinking deeper than stuff and not allowing differences to divide without discernment instead of vein perspective. (Everyone who doesn’t agree isn’t jealous of you. This stuff promotes being petty self righteous and a victim, no insight or self reflection. My only problem with this stuff is that its not in the bible to think in this way so heavily. (It makes you worship yourself and feelings)
Examples: scriptures
• Colossians 3:13
• Ephesians 4:32
• Hebrews 12:14
• Matthew 5:24
Conflict Resolution Strategy #1: Avoiding Avoiding is when people just ignore or withdraw from the conflict.
Conflict Resolution Strategy #2: Competing Competing is used by people who go into a conflict planning to win.
Conflict Resolution Strategy #3: Accommodating Accommodating is a strategy where one party gives in to the wishes or demands of another.
Conflict Resolution Strategy #4: Collaborating Collaborating is the method used when people are both assertive and cooperative.
Strategy #5: Compromising Another strategy is compromising, where participants are partially assertive and cooperative. The concept is that everyone gives up a little bit of what they want, and no one gets everything they want. The perception of the best outcome when working by compromise is that which “splits the difference.”
