The Cocoa Pod

A monologue | Men and Grief

Listen Later

Grief is something everyone experiences, but the way men deal with it is rarely talked about openly. In this episode, I reflect on the quiet ways men process loss—the silence, the emotional restraint, and the expectations society places on men when they are grieving.

This episode is a personal monologue. I talk about the loss of my cousin and how that grief has stayed with me, even when I’ve tried to move forward. It’s an honest reflection on unresolved grief, memory, and the difficulty many men face when trying to express pain.

Along the way, I also share songs that capture the emotions of loss and mourning—music that speaks to grief in ways words sometimes cannot.

This is a conversation about loss, vulnerability, and the complicated ways men carry grief.
