As has been widely reported this morning (Thursday), pressure is now seriously mounting on Michael Martin's leadership of Fianna Fail, following three of the party's youngest TDs voicing concerns about its attitude to voters.
The three have also been supported by party elders Willie O'Dea and Sean O'Fearghail; the latest blow to the Taoiseach who, not too long ago, weathered the storm of the Jim Gavin controversy.
Overall, it's been a very eventful few weeks for Government with the fuel protests, blockades and shortages dominating the news and political agenda.
This morning, 'Deise Today' reflected on 'the fortnight that was' with three political stalwarths; John Drennan, political columnist for 'The Irish Mail on Sunday and 'The Irish Daily Mail', Pat Leahy, political editor of 'The Irish Times' AND former Government minister Shane Ross.
