We are starting a new series on Wednesdays

covering the basic pieces of Pastor Larry’s 7 week bible

study. The first being A New Creation.

1. 2 Cor. 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a

new creation; old things have passed away;

behold, all things have become new.

2. When we call on the Name of the Lord we become

new creatures.

3. Rom 10:8 But what does it say? "The word is near

you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the

word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you

confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and

believe in your heart that God has raised Him from

the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart

one believes unto righteousness, and with the

mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For

the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will

not be put to shame." 12 For there is no distinction

between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all

is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For "whoever

calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

4. We receive a new heart

a. Ez 36:24 For I will take you from among the

nations, gather you out of all countries, and

bring you into your own land. 25 Then I will

sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be

clean; I will cleanse you from all your

filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will give

you a new heart and put a new spirit within

you; I will take the heart of stone out of your

flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will

put My Spirit within you and cause you to

walk in My statutes, and you will keep My

judgments and do them. 28 Then you shall

dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers;

you shall be My people, and I will be your

God.

b. We become “new wineskins” Luke 5:36-39

A New Life

1. At salvation we receive eternal life.

a. 1 John 5:11 And this is the testimony: that

God has given us eternal life, and this life is

in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he

who does not have the Son of God does not

have life.

2. We become children of God

a. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to

them He gave the right to become children

of God, to those who believe in His name: 13

who were born, not of blood, nor of the will

of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of

God.

A New Nature

1. We can partake of the nature of God

a. 2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to

you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus

our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to

us all things that pertain to life and

godliness, through the knowledge of Him

who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which

have been given to us exceedingly great and

precious promises, that through these you

may be partakers of the divine nature,

having escaped the corruption that is in the

world through lust.

b. Saul went from murderer to apostle

i. Acts 9:1-6 & 10-18

A New Kingdom

1. Col 1:12 giving thanks to the Father who has

qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of

the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from

the power of darkness and conveyed us into the

kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we

have redemption through His blood, the

forgiveness of sins.
