• Haun: A 17-year-old human from a deceptive, street-smart Slyborne community background. Armed with a black school bomber jacket and a quick fist, he is far more interested in combat tactics than diplomacy—and has zero tolerance for bullies.
• Maven: Han's 15-year-old sister, representing the book-smart, peace-keeping Loreborne community. She is a scholarly wizard who is rarely seen without a book in her hands, dedicated to documenting history rather than rewriting it with violence.
