Dustin Washington, Hank Azaria, and Martin Friedman are back again this week to close out their discussion on emotional sobriety and masculinity in America. In last week's episode the three of them shared their thoughts and feelings around their recovery journeys. We heard about the pain and trauma each man carried with them throughout their addictions. In this new episode they continue to share their stories with our listeners. 

However, in this new episode they find differences and similarities in their journeys. Martin and Hank both find that they had similar upbringings and messages around masculinity. The messages about masculinity they were taught weren't overt.  Dustin shares that his experience learning to be a man was much different than Hank and Martin's experience. Dustin shares that he had men in his life that stepped into his father figure role, and the messages he received from them were overt. It is very interesting to listen to the differences and similarities these three men share when becoming emotional sober. These three men have learned that letting go of fear and learning to trust other men has helped them the most in moving out of emotional intoxication and into emotional sobriety.
