Back at Hogwarts at last, Harry sits in the rebuilt Great Hall surrounded by classmates who have all been changed by the war. A long moment of silence turns into a raw roll call of the dead, as Severus leads the school in remembering everyone they lost before turning them toward timetables, classes, and something like normal life again. Over dinner Harry, Neville, and the others quietly joke about basilisk laws and rare beasts while Severus and the staff discuss the surprise publication of Harry’s book, hinting that this new year will be about healing, rebuilding, and deciding what comes after being a savior.
