Anyone of us who have tried to keep any rule or law know how impossible it is to attain perfect obedience. In Romans 7, we see that as Christians, we have been freed from the law's ruling power through our union in Christ. What a comfort that is for us! Law keeping is no longer the grounds for us being accepted by God. Instead, we are freed to be able to serve in a new way - by the Spirit. We are not motivated by fear but by a desire to bear fruit for God who has saved us.
