In this very special episode of the Compassionate Gaming Podcast, I am joined by Game Developer, Matt Allen, as we discuss his soon to be released game about his lived experience with chronic fatigue called, ‘It’s not you, it’s M.E’. Having had the privilege of playing Matt’s game ahead of its release, I feel it to be an incredibly valuable resource to spread awareness about the impact this condition can have on people’s lives so that we can learn to understand and support those around us better. I hope that you find listening to Matt, his story and the details of this wonderful project as inspiring as I did whilst recording this episode 🩷👾 Thank you for coming on the Podcast Matt, your strength of character is beyond admirable!
You can play, ‘It’s not you, it’s M.E’ from the 12th of March at FACT in Liverpool where it will feature in the Art Plays Games exhibition until April 27th. If you are unable to get to the exhibition to play the game for whatever reason but would like to experience it for yourself, Matt has very kindly said he will share the game with you to play online so you can play it wherever you are in the world.
