Do you believe? It is the question John seems to be consumed with in writing his gospel. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and he is moving God’s creation forward, to return it to the way it was meant to be. Yet throughout the story John tells the people struggle to recognize Jesus. Maybe the inability to recognize Jesus, is truly a failure to understand what he is doing in this new creation and the role we are suppose to play.
