This week, we’re encouraged to put ourselves in the shoes of young, at-risk Canadians. The A Night In The Life event takes place tonight. 23 year old Jo Jo, who’s originally from Montreal but has lived on the streets of Vancouver for a year, spoke to us about how having access to nutritious meals has helped her mental health. She also found a job in the kitchen, adding to her sense of worth while gaining valuable skills for future employment. Directions Youth Services helps provide young, at risk people with healthy meals, something which is often a challenge when you’re homeless.
