Mithra talks about her early introduction to Indian love poetry in the form of a cassette which inspired her to write. She now uses writing to uncover and explore her ‘Pandora’s box of emotions’ and loves to be surprised and comforted by what she writes. She likes to explore her thoughts, go wild and be silly. Mithra thinks you should give writing a go because no-one is there to judge you! It’s like being a friend to yourself - penning a letter to yourself, even being your own counsellor. Here’s a writing prompt in case you’re inspired to try: “A Pandora’s box of emotions…”. Just start writing and see where it goes.
