We want to try something new for our podcast and start highlighting leaders that have impacted us.⁠⁠The first in our series is Arlan Hamilton (@arlanwashere), who is the Founder & Managing Partner of Backstage Capital, a fund that invests in underestimated founders such as women, people of color, and members of the LGTBQ+ community.⁠⁠Arlan released her book It's About Damn Time last year and one part of her book that stood out to us was when she spoke about the fallacy of being self-made.⁠Our successes are because of the people that inspired us and we should give credit when credit is due. She also talks about giving back when you can.⁠
