Phil Hutchings, of Higher Life Church, is a Canadian pastor who was arrested and then locked up in solitary confinement for a week after his church remained open during the COVID-19 pandemic.  A federal judge in New Brunswick dismissed all charges following a lengthy legal battle that began in 2021 when he was arrested for holding church services against a provincial health order.
