Today we are joined by the General Manager of The Banner of Truth Trust, John Rawlinson. He is tied in from Edinburgh, Scotland. The subject is the life of JC Ryle. Ryle was born 1816, so its been 200 years since his birth. He came to Christ while hearing Ephesians 2 read in church. His father was not a Christian man. His family went through the process of losing everything - so he knew first hand, both riches and wealth. Ryle was a strong supporter of the evangelical school and was a critic of Ritualism as a means of salvation. One work that our guest recommends, is Ryle's book "Holiness."
