We are increasingly experiencing experts running everything. Are some of these experts self-anointed? What is the difference between intellect and wisdom? Those who claim intellectual superiority are really embracing a notion going back to the Enlightenment. We see a sort of "autonomous standard of reason, established by an elite class, before which all ideas must present themselves for judgment."
