A Prayer For When The Darkness Feels Heavy

Loving God,

In a world where we feel the weight of the darkness,

the weight of what is uncertain,

the weight of what is hard,

the weight of what is not right—

You have made us to be light.

So help us today—

to be present where we are,

to offer kindness, compassion, and care,

to be a voice for the voiceless,

to give hope to the hopeless,

and to walk with both boldness and humility.

And when the darkness feels particularly heavy,

remind us—

that even a small light matters,

and that we do not carry it alone.

Let each of us shine the light we’ve been given.

And gather us,

so that together,

our shared light

pushes back the darkness.
