  • Day 14: Resisting the Enemy | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 14 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎

Today we’re continuing our section on Protection & Struggles by praying that our families will have the strength to resist the enemy and remain faithful to God.

    📖 Today’s Scripture: James 4:7
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Resisting the Enemy

James 4:7 gives us an important instruction: submit ourselves to God and resist the devil.

But notice the order! Before we’re told to resist the devil, we’re told to submit ourselves to God.

That’s such an important reminder because resisting temptation and standing firm against the enemy isn’t about relying on our own strength. It begins with surrendering our lives to God and living in obedience to Him.

Today we’re praying that our husbands, children, grandchildren, and other loved ones will recognize the lies and temptations that seek to draw them away from God.

We’re asking Him to give them discernment, courage, and hearts that are fully surrendered to His will.

And we’re praying for ourselves too! Because we can’t expect to stand firm against the enemy while refusing to submit to the One who gives us strength.

Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers.

Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎

Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 15: Thoughts — Philippians 4:8.

My prayer is that together we can become women whose minds are shaped by God’s Word instead of by the world around us.

  • Day 13: Overcoming Temptation | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 13 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎

Today we’re beginning a new section of our challenge: Protection & Struggles. And we’re starting by praying that our families will have the strength to resist temptation.

    📖 Today’s Scripture: Matthew 6:13
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Temptation

In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray. And one of the things He teaches them to ask for is God’s help in the face of temptation and evil.

I love this reminder because none of us are beyond temptation. No matter how long we’ve been Christians or how much we’ve grown in our faith, we still need God’s help.

As much as we’d love to protect our families from every difficult situation, we simply can’t. Our husbands, children, grandchildren, and other loved ones will face temptations and decisions that we may never even know about.

But we can pray for them!

Today we’re asking God to help the people we love recognize temptation, resist what is evil, and choose what is right—even when no one else is watching.

And we’re praying for ourselves too, remembering that spiritual strength doesn’t come from believing we’re strong enough on our own, but from continually depending on God.

Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers.

Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎

Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 14: Resist the Enemy — James 4:7.

My prayer is that together we can become women whose minds are shaped by God’s Word instead of by the world around us.

  • Day 11: Bearing the Fruit of the Spirit | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 11 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎

Today we’re praying that our families will bear the fruit of the Spirit in their everyday lives.

    📖 Today’s Scripture: Galatians 5:22–23
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Fruit of the Spirit

In Galatians 5, Paul contrasts the works of the flesh with the fruit produced by the Spirit in the lives of those who belong to Christ.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Imagine what a difference these qualities can make in our homes, marriages, friendships, and everyday interactions!

But here’s something important to remember: the fruit of the Spirit isn’t simply a checklist of personality traits we’re supposed to develop through our own efforts. It’s the evidence of the Spirit’s work in a life surrendered to God.

Today we’re praying that the people we love will continue growing in Christ and that His Spirit will produce lasting fruit in their lives.

And we’re examining our own hearts too. Where do we need more patience? More gentleness? More self-control? More love?

Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers.

Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎

Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 12: Kindness — Ephesians 4:32.

My prayer is that together we can become women whose minds are shaped by God’s Word instead of by the world around us.

  • Day 12: Choosing Kindness | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 12 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎

Today we’re praying for kindness—for our families and for ourselves.

    📖 Today’s Scripture: Ephesians 4:32
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Kindness

In Ephesians 4, Paul encourages believers to put away bitterness, anger, and harmful speech and instead be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving toward one another.

Kindness sounds simple, doesn’t it? But sometimes it’s hardest to practice with the people closest to us.

When we’re tired, frustrated, overwhelmed, or hurt, it’s easy to let our words and attitudes reflect our feelings rather than the love of Christ.

Today we’re praying that kindness will characterize our families and our homes—not just when things are going well, but especially when they’re difficult.

We’re asking God to help the people we love speak graciously, show compassion, extend forgiveness, and treat others with genuine tenderness.

And we’re examining our own hearts too. Are we showing the same kindness and patience to the people in our homes that we so readily offer to others?

Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers.

Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎

Tomorrow we’ll begin our next section, Protection & Struggles, with Day 13: Temptation — Matthew 6:13.

  • Day 10: Walking in Integrity | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 10 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎

Today we’re praying for integrity—for our families and for ourselves.

    📖 Today’s Scripture: Proverbs 10:9
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Integrity

Proverbs 10:9 reminds us of the difference between walking in integrity and following dishonest or crooked paths.

Integrity is about more than simply telling the truth. It’s about living consistently with what we believe—being the same person when no one is watching as we are when everyone is watching.

Today we’re praying that the people we love will have the courage to do what is right, even when it’s difficult, inconvenient, or unpopular.

We’re asking God to help them be honest in their words, faithful in their commitments, and trustworthy in their relationships. We’re praying that they won’t be tempted to hide sin or live one way in public and another in private.

And, as always, we’re turning this prayer toward ourselves too. Because integrity is built in the little, everyday decisions just as much as the big ones.

Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers.

Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎

  • Day 9: Growing in Humility | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 9 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎

Today we’re praying for humility—for our families and for ourselves.

    📖 Today’s Scripture: Philippians 2:3–4
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Humility

In Philippians 2, Paul encourages believers to put aside selfish ambition and pride, to consider the needs of others, and to live with the same humble attitude demonstrated by Jesus Christ.

Humility isn’t believing that we have no value. It’s recognizing that life isn’t all about us.

Imagine what a difference genuine humility can make in our families! Listening instead of immediately reacting. Being willing to apologize. Considering someone else’s needs. Serving without expecting recognition. Choosing love over the need to always be right.

Today we’re praying that God will grow humility in the hearts of the people we love. But we’re also asking Him to reveal the places where our own pride may be getting in the way of loving others well.

Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s spend a few minutes allowing God’s Word to guide our prayers.

Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎

  • Day 8: Asking God for Wisdom | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 8 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎

Today we’re praying for wisdom—for our families and for ourselves.

    📖 Today’s Scripture: James 1:5
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Wisdom

James writes to believers who are facing trials, and in the verses just before today’s passage, he talks about perseverance, maturity, and steadfast faith. Then comes this beautiful invitation: if we lack wisdom, we can ask God.

Wisdom is more than simply knowing the right facts. We need God’s wisdom to know how to live faithfully in the situations right in front of us.

The people we love will face decisions we cannot make for them. They’ll encounter circumstances we cannot control and questions we may not know how to answer. So today, instead of trying to carry all of that ourselves, we’re bringing them before the One who gives wisdom generously.

And we’re asking for wisdom for ourselves too—wisdom in the way we love them, speak to them, advise them, and sometimes simply know when to step back and trust God.

Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s pray Scripture over our families together.

Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎

  • Day 7: A Pure Heart | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 7 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎

Today we begin a new section of our challenge: Hearts & Character. And we’re starting by praying for something that goes much deeper than outward behavior—a pure heart.

    📖 Today’s Scripture: Psalm 51:10
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: A Pure Heart

Psalm 51 is David’s prayer of repentance after serious sin. David doesn’t simply ask God to change his circumstances or make the consequences disappear. He recognizes that something needs to change within him.

So today, we’re praying that God will create clean hearts in the people we love—hearts that desire what is right and pleasing to Him even when no one else is watching. We’re praying for humility to recognize sin, willingness to repent, and steadfast spirits that remain faithful to God.

But before we pray Psalm 51:10 over anyone else, we’re going to let it examine our own hearts too.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God…”

Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers.

Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎

Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 8: Wisdom — James 1:5.

  • Day 6: Abiding in Christ | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 6 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎

Today we’re praying that our families will abide in Christ—remaining connected to Him as the source of their spiritual life and fruitfulness.

    📖 Today’s Scripture: John 15:4–5
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Abiding in Christ

Jesus gives us the beautiful picture of a vine and its branches. A branch doesn’t produce fruit by simply trying harder. It bears fruit because it remains connected to the vine.

In the same way, we don’t want the people we love to simply look spiritually productive on the outside. We’re praying that their lives will bear genuine fruit because they are remaining close to Jesus.

And today’s prayer is for us, too. In all our Bible reading, prayer, ministry, church activities, and responsibilities, may we never become so busy doing things for Jesus that we neglect abiding in Jesus.

Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s pray Scripture over our families together.

Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎

Tomorrow we’ll begin our next section, Hearts & Character, with Day 7: A Pure Heart — Psalm 51:10.

  • Day 5: Growing in Faith | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 5 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎

Today we’re praying that our families will grow in faith—and our Scripture reminds us of the important role God’s Word has in that growth.

    📖 Today’s Scripture: Romans 10:17
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Growing in Faith

In context, Paul is talking about hearing the good news of Christ. Faith isn’t something we manufacture by simply trying harder to feel more faithful. We need to hear the truth of God’s Word, believe it, and respond to it.

So today we’re praying that the people we love will have opportunities to hear God’s truth—and hearts willing to receive it. We’re asking God to strengthen their faith as they learn His Word and come to know Him more deeply.

And, as we’ve done every day, we’re turning the prayer toward ourselves too:

Father, let Your Word—not my feelings, fears, or circumstances—shape what I believe.

Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s pray Scripture over our families together.

Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎

Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 6: Abiding in Christ — John 15:4–5.
