Publisher's Summary:
Infidelity. Deceit. Murder. Faith. Forgiveness. Restoration. One of the most remarkable true stories youll ever hear. Diane Nichols received repeated phone calls from a stranger. The female caller mocked and ridiculed her, eventually disclosing the most painful news a wife could hear: Dianes husband, John, was having an affair with the 19-year-old caller. Diane couldnt imagine anything worse, but that was before she confronted her husband. The next morning she learned that John had killed his young mistress.
Her husbands imprisonment for murder started her on a painful descent into the all-too-familiar realm of deceit, consequences, and ultimately an emotional prison of her own. But the story doesnt end there! This riveting story of a family torn by infidelity and murder is also a story of the triumph of Gods amazing power to restore against all odds!

Did not care for the book. Was disappointed in the outcome.
Great Book!
This book is a true story about the journey the writer had to real forgiveness after learning that her husband had killed his mistress. It was a journey shared with her two little girls and one that brought a lot of tears and struggles. I would recommend this book to anyone who is dealing with pain because of what someone else did to them. It might help you learn how to truly forgive and move on with your life -- breaking out of the prison that is binding you to a "prison of your own".
Five Stars
It was excellent!
like talking with a dear friend who has been through it
Diane Nichols' book is a guidebook to the prisons that we create for ourselves.
Some are imprisoned by their need for alcohol, some by a need for sexual excitement, some by a need for attention, success in the eyes of their co-workers, and some actually end up in a real prison.
I worked in a prison for more than a decade, and I can tell you that her portrayal of prison life--for inmates AND their families is dead-on accurate.
Readers who have personally experienced, or had a loved one who experienced, the agonies of alcoholism, betrayal, divorce, trying to raise kids by yourself and desperately needing help, but not knowing where to look--you will see these issues dealt with on a level you can share. You'll see how Diane continued to struggle, eventually finding the the path to a fulfilling life. You won't hear a lot of psycho-babble or confusing intellectual theories. The book is like talking to a dear friend who has been through it, and wants to help you.
The best writing and book ever!!!!!
This book is amazing!!!!! I could not put it down causing me to have zero sleep! The way Diane writes is like nothing I have ever read before and trust me I have read a lot of books. I passed this book along to my husband, mom, friends, and they have all been blown away. This story is so powerful and finds a way to help others even if your struggles seem so big or small this books gains the courage to face it. I can't wait to see what other books Diane writes because I'm now her biggest fan and I'm sure thousands of other people would agree with me. I wish I could give this book 10 stars!!!!!!!
