Pastor Luke continued in the series "The Life of Joseph." The main idea from Genesis 40 was, "We can show compassion to others even as we experience disappointment." As a prisoner, Joseph was compassionate to others (verses 1-7), confident in God (verses 8-15), and careful with his gift (verses 16-19). The Result from this story was the cup bearer’s life was restored, the baker’s life was terminated, and Joseph’s life forgotten (verses 20-23).
