My father would often beam at how he sent some goons to beat up my aunt’s boyfriend, who was domestically violent to her. He always warned that he knew people who hurt people, and it was not just my sister. He would toss, often, whenever I started to say how badly he treated me that he knew people that protected him. So, when we realized we were being followed I got scared. This time it was not my dad or his wife dropping their veil on their toxic marriage that, somehow, always looked smiley for Facebook. This was serious.
