Navigate The Day

A Proper Frame Of Mind

Listen Later

In this episode of "Navigate The Day", I reflect on how emotions and impulsive reactions can rob us of self-control. Drawing inspiration from Marcus Aurelius' Meditations, I examine my own tendencies to become sad, depressed, or worried when faced with negative situations. I also delve into my tendency to get into disputes rashly and become angry, which has caused rifts in my relationships with family members.

I acknowledge that these negative emotions and impulsive reactions have been hindering my growth and independence. To become self-sufficient, I must work on developing resilience and self-control, so that I am not controlled by these emotions. This journey of self-discovery and improvement is ongoing, and I look forward to opportunities to cultivate self-control, such as unexpected changes in my work schedule.

I encourage listeners to take a step back and reflect on their own impulsive behaviors and emotions. Consider what actions you can take to cultivate self-control and resilience. And, as always, I invite listeners to join me in this daily journey of reflection and self-improvement.
