Hebrews 9:1-14.

Jesus is superior in His person as our High Priest. But He is also superior in His ministry as our High priest. And it’s our superior High Priest with His superior ministry who can actually do what no Levitical priest with his ministry could ever do–namely, “perfect and purify the conscience.” The question is, “How is a conscience laden with the rightful guilt of sin before a holy God purified, cleansed, and made clean?” The answer is found in a better priest who ministers in a better tabernacle and by doing so He gives us the conscience cleansing access to God we need.
