Though the raw vegan diet isn’t new, it has been regaining popularity recently. A Raw diet merges the principles of veganism with those of raw foodism. While some people may prefer to follow it for ethical or environmental, and spiritual reasons, most do it for its incredible health benefits. These include weight loss, improved heart health, and a lower risk of diabetes. However, a fully raw vegan diet may also pose some health risks — especially when it’s not well planned, and it is followed with commercially produced agriculture.
So, is a raw diet truly more healthy than a vegan diet where cooking food is commonly cooked!
Furthermore, should we reconsider a purely raw diet when examining the chemical stranglehold agrochemical companies hold on American Agriculture? Pesticides are used on fruits, vegetables, wheat, rice, olives, and canola pressed into oil, grass, and flowers. The OP pesticide chlorpyrifos developed by the DOW chemical company is commonly used on all fruits, vegetables, and wheat produced in the United States and impose severe implications on human health.
So are these plants pure or purely dangerous?
