Psalm 23 can be a powerful tool for meditating on the truth of who God is and how we can trust Him.

Meditative Questions Based on Psalm 23:

Verse 1: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."

  • Question:
  • What does it mean for me to understand that God is my shepherd? Do I recognize and trust in his guidance and provision in my life?
  • Reflection:
  • Consider the role of a shepherd in caring for their flock. How does this image help you envision God's care for you?

Verse 2: "He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters."

    • Question:
    • Where am I experiencing God's provision and rest in my life? In what areas do I need to be led towards stillness and refreshment?
    • Reflection:
    • Think about places where you find peace and renewal. How does this connect to the idea of green pastures and still waters?

Verse 3: "He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake."
