Congressman Kevin McCarthy proudly serves California’s 23rd congressional district and is currently the Majority Leader in the U.S. House of Representatives. Congressman McCarthy was first elected to Congress in 2006, quickly became Chief Deputy Whip, and later served as Majority Whip. In 2014, he was selected as the Majority Leader of the House—the first Californian to hold the position—where he now leads Congress in fighting for individual liberty, free markets, an efficient and effective government, and a vibrant civil society.

Since being elected to Congress, he and his Republican colleagues have cut out-of-control government spending, promoted North American energy independence, passed bills to create jobs, and highlighted the growing dangers to the United States and the need for American leadership throughout the world.
