Bob Woodman's career in radio spanned the time of such change in the United States and the world. After a stint in the U.S. Navy as a public relations officer for the Blue Angels, Bob returned to radio in Texas in Austin, Texas, as Austin was beginning to fly its Weird flag. He moved to Victoria, Texas and was general manager of KVIC, an AM radio station that grew into a media group where his empowering management style nurtured creative spirits on the air and profitability off the air. Bob has returned home to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he works with NPR-affiliated Alabama Public Radio, a statewide pubic radio network headquartered at the University of Alabama and mentors the next generation of aspiring media professionals.
