In this episode, Kurt talks about how in his teens and early 20's he pursued an exciting life to fill his need to be seen. This led to a rebellious life. This path led him to an encounter with Christ as a late teen. After a few short years of study of God's word and walking with God, God let him venture back into his party life to arrive at a point where he learned the value of surrender, openness and vulnerability and true humility.

In Kurt's story we see a God who was attentive in Kurt's life. Kurt learned to trust God through his trials and found God faithful in spite of his wildness and rebellion. Kurt found comfort through launching a child that chose their own rebellious wild path. Then hearing that the love of his life had cancer, crying out to God and hearing Him simply say, "Trust me."

Through all of this, Kurt says God has been faithful, gentle and kind. He has been gracious and Kurt says God has given him a blessed life.
