A Reckoning in Puerto Rico, Eight Months After Maria

A new study out this week came to a grim conclusion about the number of deaths in Puerto Rico attributable to Hurricane Maria. A survey of surviving residents on the island, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, found that more than 4,600 Puerto Ricans may have perished due to the hurricane.
