A Refusal To Repent (Response #1)

Luke 7:18-35

God’s Word makes crystal clear that the way we come to know Jesus as our Savior, Lord, and Satisfier ultimately comes down to how we respond to the Savior’s great salvation. Up to this point in Jesus’ ministry it is evident that as folks interact with Jesus they eventually sift themselves into one of two groups: those who repent for the forgiveness of sins and those who refuse to do so. And as we will see, a person’s refusal to repent isn’t due to lack of evidence but rather a stubborn refusal to recognize themselves as a sinner. Main Idea—People’s acceptance or rejection of Jesus turns on a willingness to repent.
