The CPSC and Residential Elevators, Inc. have recalled the following models including Easy Rider, Horizon Lift, Luxury Lift, Luxury Lift Hydraulic, Luxury Lift Traction and RE residential elevators.  These elevators may have a dangerous gap between the outer and inner doors or gates that can lead to injuries or death for a young child caught in the gap.  About 31,000 of these residential elevators were sold directly to consumers and installed in the US between 1986 and July 2022.  If you have one of these elevators installed in your building, keep unsupervised young children away from them.  Contact Residential Elevators at 1-877-794-3032 or via email at [email protected] to obtain space guards that eliminate hazardous gaps along with installation instructions and assistance.
