A General Mystification Vol. 1 is dedicated to the memories of James Bauer and Tony Hsieh.
Sonance was provided by:
Tracy Pfau as the Sentinel
John Mydrim Ballantyne Davies as the Voice of Reason
Ricardo Cabral as The Curator
Toni Tone as Femi James
Musical score by Sigma
Notable inspiration has been drawn from Michael Meade's Living Myth podcast as well as Italo Calvino's novel If on a Winter's Night a Traveller and Six Memos for the Next MIllenium.
A massive thank you to Argo, Pink Lemon Lies, Duckworth (wynn) the 13th, Orra, CourtneyKissMe, Grey Matter Girl, Steven, starflyergirl, Jason K, Bear, A Dutch Mira, J021, VermilionToOne, Portugirl, zasea, rolling wind, Christopher Tallon, Zibby, Doctor Hoctor, NataliePatalie, fiberglass_ghost, Walker and the many other listeners who showed up, trusted, and gave me the courage to continue the series. This final episode, called "The Resolution", was created during a moment of deep mourning. Present in this sonic document are death, loss, and sickness, all in their natural process. It felt incredibly vulnerable to post it, so much so that I even took it down afterward. Honestly, though, I am beyond content with the entire season, in all its tenderness. Overall, it's a particularly vivid snapshot of a very difficult year, and I believe it will stand the test of time.
And so, here it stands.
Love,
Jeff
