In The Paddock

A Response to Kiss The Ground

Listen Later

Over the long weekend I watched two shows of TV one was Australian Story where they focused on the Monaro farmer Charles Massey and his journey to regenerative agriculture and the was Kiss The Ground on Netflix which looked mainly at farming in the USA and what makes sustainable and regenerative agriculture. This is my reply to those shows, what makes a sustainable farmer? and is that different to a regenerative farmer? In my opinion 99% of Australian farmers run zero till direct drill cropping systems and rotate or cell graze their stock, do these practices make us regenerative farmers, sustainable farmers or just flat pack stock standard regular farmers?

Some points I thought were valid, some were antagonistic but for the most part I thought we doing these things already.
