Today we’re chatting about, what I think, is a rather interesting topic. And I’m surprised that the conversation surrounding this particular thing isn’t more common – or as some might say, “mainstream”. As you could probably tell from the title of this episode, we’re talking about microgrids. What they are, what the history surrounding them is, as well as why we will likely see more of them popping up rather quickly in future.
To put it simply, a microgrid is a local energy grid with control capability, which means it can disconnect from the traditional grid and operate autonomously.
