The college's Outreach Department hosted a special Black History Month event on lower campus featuring Hollywood actress and award‑winning songwriter Dawnn Lewis as the keynote speaker. Lewis shared her journey and the challenges she overcame as a young artist. Lewis recently comes off her groundbreaking role as the first Black woman to lead as a starship captain in the Star Trek franchise. 🎬🚀
🎤 We also hear from Rambassadors Ruben Navarro and Chelcea Williams, who talk about the pride and impact of helping bring events like this to the VVC community.
