In this episode, Alex talks to freelance writer and illustrator Charlotte Rickards. Charlotte is a freelance writer covering interiors, art and design. She has written for Aesthetica, The Face, Inigo, and up until recently worked for an interiors magazine.

We discuss Charlotte's dream feminist dinner party, starting with a great guest list; feminist film critic Laura Mulvey, writer bell hooks, and author Naomi Wolf. Against a soundtrack of Laura Marling, Phoebe Bridgers and Rhye, Charlotte and her guests feast on small plates and a pick n mix of historically accurate 'diet culture' puddings, leading to a stimulating discussion all about the male gaze and the female body. We also discuss her experience of working as a freelance writer, busting the stigma of redundancy.
