Sports safety experts note that it's important to wear a helmet that is appropriate for the particular activity you’re involved in.  When it comes to living this Christian life, Paul says, “Take up the helmet of salvation.” But there's a reason why he couples this with the call to take up with it, "the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God."
