There are few things as potentially soul-destroying as busyness. In Luke 10, the Lord directs busy Martha to see that her sister Mary has chosen “the good portion” by putting Him first. Most of us tend to overwork because it makes us feel useful, but we would do better to do less and trust God more. His approval of us is a gift, and all that we strive for is in Christ. Don’t let busyness keep you from sitting at His feet.
