He's really funny, but he's also dead serious when it comes to what makes a voice actor, successful.  This isn't out of some book.  It's real life experience in the VO Biz.  A guy who knows that you need to want it more than anybody else, be willing to do more than everybody else, get there early, be willing to stay late, and "be nice".
