Welcome to our latest episode, and the first in a short miniseries of episodes in which we delve into some of the complexities of bias in connection with technology and, specifically, AI.

We are very excited this week to be bringing you a full length interview with Dr Susie Alegre, who joined Mona and Will to talk about her recent book - "Human Rights, Robot Wrongs: Being Human in the Age of AI"

It was a fascinating discussion, although there is a trigger warning on this episode for some of the darker topics that conversations about AI can include (themes include: suicide, child exploitation).

In a first for the podcast, Mona and Will went on the road to take part in the Leeds Digital Festival recently. This is the live recording of their episode all about AI in education (our first ever live episode, so apologies for the slightly patchy audio in places!).

It's a bumper-length episode, including some questions from the studio audience, and a really wide-ranging discussion about the issues which arise when we talk about deploying AI in schools and universities. What a way to kick off our new season of episodes!
