IN Luke 12:54-56

He also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A shower is coming.’ And so, it happens. And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching heat,’ and it happens.   You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time? 

 

In other words, you can tell by the signs in the heavens what kind of a day it’s going to be, rainy, or hot, if you live near the ocean, and you got clouds coming from the ocean you say, oh, oh a rain shower is coming, if you live in California, and the  Santa Ana winds are blowing, you say, "Oh, oh, it’s going to be a hot one today. And fact people are able to make predictions of the stock market, or able to make weather predictions, or they can predict and forecast many things, but they are not aware of the fact that we are in the last days. Listen the problem was not that they could not understand spiritual signs. Though many of them had seen the signs of Jesus’ ministry, they refused to believe that Jesus was the promised Messiah.  

 

Saints we need to realize and recognize what kind of world we are living in today. As we look around we know that the return of Christ is near.  Man thinks he is big enough and good enough to bring peace to the earth. This is a delusion—We need to realize that until Christ comes there can be no real peace, the sands in God’s hourglass were running out. May we recognize the sign of times, and be ready for the Master’s return.
