This is a Spotlight on the Scriptures: Mark 8:38 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

C.T. Studd wrote “Only one life, twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.”

So don’t trade eternal purpose for temporary pleasure. Don’t let the glitter of this world blind you to the glory of the next. Don’t let the applause of men drown out the voice of God.  Don’t be ashamed of Christ. Don’t be silent when His name is mocked. Don’t be timid when His truth is twisted. Stand tall. Speak loudly. Shine bright.

Because when He comes back—and He is coming back—let it be joy, not shame. Let it be celebration, not regret. Let it be the sound of singing, not the silence of sorrow.  This world will pass. Its fame will fade. Its riches will rot. But what you do for Christ? That echoes into eternity. That’s the legacy that lasts. So live bold. Love deep. Preach loud. Because only one life—just one—and it’s slipping fast. Make it count. Make it holy. Make it His.
