When the moral compass of society seems to spin out of control, where does that leave the steadfast? This episode tackles the heart of Psalms 11:3-4, probing the role of the righteous when the world's ethical pillars tremble. We navigate through the seismic shifts in today's moral landscape, where traditional principles are frequently questioned and replaced by a so-called 'new morality.' This discourse is not just a reflection but an empowering call to action for believers to be the change-makers, embodying the essence of salt and light in a world that often tastes bland and appears dim.

Feel the ground beneath you as we chart the course for upholding righteousness amidst the chaos. We stand strong on the enduring foundation of Jesus, embracing the sovereignty of a God who sees all from His celestial throne. With each word, we fortify our conviction that though society may falter, our faith offers an unshakeable refuge. Listen closely as we affirm the active role of the righteous in this era of upheaval and celebrate the hallelujah moments that bring solace and strength to believers worldwide. This episode is both a sanctuary and a battle cry for those who choose to cling to divine judgment and authority over the prevailing winds of change.

This is still a good question to ask. Today the authority of the Word of God is being challenged on every hand. As I recorded this podcast, we have the “new morality,” What’s the new morality? Who decides right and wrong? Each individual person decides what is good for them and their neighbor in each situation. The other is a lifestyle of free sex, drugs, and a universal rebellion against morality as it had been known.

So the new morality is sin, which the Bible has condemned from the very beginning. The problem is, What can the righteous do? Listen I know that people are afraid that due to the spread of evil and lawlessness in society, the nation its social order, and its institutions are decaying. David viewed what was happening from an eternal, heavenly perspective, and what this does is challenge the righteous not to be passive in the midst of a decaying society. So what can the righteous do? We are to be persuasive and impactful as salt and light, to a world that is tasteless and dark. I tell you that is what we can do. Listen to the psalmist:

The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD's throne is in heaven; his eyes see, his eyelids test the children of man.

David knew that God was sovereign, and he was ruling from heaven over the affairs of men. Beloved you need to know that, too. Listen there will be, persecutions. But Jesus is the foundation of his Church, and that stands sure.

God is watching us today. He is testing us. And the only place we can turn is to Him. When the foundations are taken out from under us, the righteous have God to cling to.

Abraham reached that place. When it says that Abraham believed God, it means that Abraham threw his arms around God and just held on. He believed God. And these are days when we can believe God and hold on to Him. It is time for many of us who cannot sing the Hallelujah Chorus at least say Hallelujah. How wonderful is our God!

If we get the vision of God on His throne, governing all creatures, rendering to all according to their works, we shall then see no reason to be discouraged by the power of the oppressors but will rest in Jesus.
